A learning tool.
This program offers karaoke type exercises that associate pieces of music with the letters of the English alphabet. Once you start practicing these permanent associations are created in the user’s memory so that the alphabet is memorized forever. Learning English as a foreign language becomes absolutely fun. The program offers 36 such exercises. The association is created by presenting the letters in no particular sequence, at random. Three types of exercises are presented. Type I lets you listen and try to recognize the letters. In the second type, you are required to listen, repeat and try to recall. The third type of exercises lets you check the letters and recall independently. This is more like tests to make out how much learning has happened already. In exercises 1 to 3 the letters are presented in alphabetical order.
Exercises 4 to 6 present the letters in random order to let the user try and identify them correctly. Each exercise is presented in six different ways. In the type 1, the letters and associated music is presented in the users own voice. In types 2 to 5 speaker’s voice is presented with different musical accompaniments. Type 6 also is presented in speaker’s own voice but with an accompaniment that is in low volume and the music has a soothing/relaxing effect. The beats in the accompaniment helps pronouncing the letter correctly in rhythm. With the changing accompaniments you are not likely to get bored. The interface is simple and very intuitive. You can create a playlist. It is possible to set the number of repetitions of all the letters in an exercise or only some selected ones. This is a very good program.
